XR2Industry – 3rd Open Call for Use Cases is Now Open!


XR2Industry, the EU-funded project building the first European XR reference platform, has officially launched its third Open Call for Use Cases.

This call is designed to bring together research partners and industrial end-users in powerful consortia, ready to co-create and validate real-world applications of Extended Reality (XR) in industrial settings.

What are we looking for?
Up to 4 consortia will be selected, each composed of:
1 research partner
1 industrial end-user

These teams will work together to test and refine XR applications using the first European XR headset, with a strong focus on data privacy, usability, and industrial impact.

A structured support programme
Over a 12-month period, selected consortia will go through three key phases:


STAGE 1 : Individual Mentoring Plan (2 months)
A personalised coaching phase to align objectives and refine the use case.
STAGE 2 : Beta Testing (5 months)
Test your XR solution in real-life industrial environments with end-users.
STAGE 3 : Impact Analysis (5 months)
Gather results, assess impact, and prepare your solution for scale-up and industrial adoption.


Funding and support
Selected consortia may receive up to €233,900 in funding, covering all phases.

In addition to financial support, participants will benefit from:

  • Expert mentoring
  • Real-world testing opportunities
  • Visibility within the European XR ecosystem

Challenges to address
Each project must focus on one of the following four industry-relevant challenges:

1. Mixed-Reality for Industry

2. MR Guidance for Assembly & Maintenance

3. MR Safety Awareness & Hazard Training

4. MR Workflow in Regulated Environments (Pharma/Bio)



NB : Projects must be at TRL 7 or 8, ready for deployment in real conditions.
