The XR2Industry Open Call 1 (OC1) has announced its final results, selecting innovative projects that will each receive €500,000 to tackle specific challenges in the XR (Extended Reality) industry. Out of a competitive pool, 7 companies from across Europe were chosen to address seven key technological challenges.
The selected beneficiaries and their respective challenges include:
Stam S.r.l. (Italy) – XTRACT: Real-time RTK system for precise XR spatial tracking (Challenge 4: High accuracy GPS)
Safehear (France) – Louis V3: AI-powered bone conduction device for sound recognition (Challenge 7: Audio system)
EUROS E.S. GmbH (Germany) – NEXUS: 5G modem integration for XR headsets (Challenge 10: External 5G Modem)
Iristick NV (Belgium) – IRI-DTOF: Lightweight 3D depth sensor with AI superresolution (Challenge 9: ToF camera)
MindRove Kft. (Hungary) – BIOHEX: Biometric sensors for motion and cognition tracking (Challenge 11: Human sensing)
Mimetik UG (Germany) – UniTrackXR: Wearable tracker for industrial XR applications (Challenge 2: Universal tracker)
QUANTA & QUALIA (Greece) – Magos XR Haptic Gloves: Haptic gloves for realistic XR hand interaction (Challenge 1: Haptic gloves)
These groundbreaking projects will push the boundaries of XR technology and help build a stronger, more innovative European XR ecosystem.
